Under Quebec’s Act respecting the protection of personal information in the private sector, the person in charge of the protection of personal information is Idriss Sergio Talom Nokam, for Nokaris Lab (opens in a new tab). You can reach this person at privacy@postulio.ca.

Hosting

The Postulio website and data are hosted in Canada by Amazon Web Services (AWS), Canada (Central) region, in Montréal (Quebec).

Some specialized providers (artificial intelligence, payments, email, audience measurement, error monitoring) process information on our behalf, sometimes outside Canada. Their list and role are set out in the Privacy Policy.

Permitted use

By using Postulio, you receive a personal, limited, non-exclusive and non-transferable licence to view the content and use the Service in accordance with the Terms of use.

This licence does not allow you to:

  • reproduce or distribute Postulio content for commercial purposes;
  • create derivative works from it;
  • extract data by automated means (scraping);
  • decompile or reverse engineer the Service.

Exceptions provided by law, including fair dealing under the Copyright Act, still apply. For any other use, write to legal@postulio.ca.

Your content

You remain the owner of your resumes, cover letters and other documents. The rules that apply to their processing are set out in the Terms of use and the Privacy Policy.

Nature of the Service

Postulio is a job search tool. It is neither a placement agency nor a recruiter:

  • Postulio does not guarantee a job, an interview or a response from an employer;
  • Postulio never submits an application on your behalf: you decide on each application and send it yourself;
  • hiring decisions belong to employers, who are independent third parties.

Content produced by artificial intelligence is a suggestion: review and check it before using it. You are the author of the documents you send or publish, and you answer for them (section 3.4 of the Terms of use).

External links and services

Postulio contains links to third-party websites, including job posting pages. We do not control these sites and are not responsible for their content or privacy practices.

Governing law and courts

These notices and the terms governing Postulio are governed by the laws of Quebec and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein.

Any dispute falls under the jurisdiction of the courts of Quebec.

Consumer rights

Nothing in these notices or in Postulio’s other terms excludes or limits the rights that the law guarantees to consumers, including those under Quebec’s Consumer Protection Act. If you are a consumer:

  • no mandatory arbitration clause can be enforced against you;
  • no clause prevents you from bringing or taking part in a class action (section 11.1 of that Act);
  • you may go to the competent court, including the Small Claims Division of the Court of Québec.

Before taking legal action, you can write to us at legal@postulio.ca: we will first look for an amicable solution.

Accessibility

We aim to meet WCAG 2.1 Level AA and keep improving the site. To report a barrier or request an accommodation, write to support@postulio.ca.
