Postulio at a glance
Postulio brings every step of a job search in Quebec and Canada into one place, in English and French: finding the postings that fit you, reading each posting in full, tailoring your resume and cover letter without making anything up, knowing which occupation to aim for, then tracking every application until you hear back. The decision and the submission stay yours.
The sections below follow your journey. Each one names the plans concerned; the table at the bottom of the page gives the exact limits of each plan.
Finding jobs: how does Postulio spot the right postings?
Your alerts keep watch and Postulio highlights the postings that match your profile, instead of making you browse dozens of sites.
- Several alerts: each with its own keywords, locations and, if needed, contract type, work arrangement, salary range and minimum score. Postulio reruns them and emails you a summary of new postings.
- Jobs, For you tab: postings picked up by your alerts and suggestions drawn from your profile and from “What I’m looking for”, each with the reason it was suggested.
- Verified sources: postings read from the career pages of employers we follow and from Quebec job sites, respecting their terms and their robots.txt file, or published by employers after review by our team.
- The job search directory: employment services, help organizations, public employers and job boards in Quebec, sorted by field, region and audience, open without an account.
Plans: one alert on the Free plan (weekly or monthly summary); more alerts, a daily summary and an alert as soon as a posting matches from Pro.
Preparing your application: how do you read the full posting and track every submission?
A good application starts from the full posting. Postulio reads it, compares it with your profile, then keeps track of every submission.
- Reading the posting on its original site: when the catalogue only shows an excerpt, Postulio reads the full posting on the employer’s site at the time of your analysis, including when it is published as a PDF. If the site does not allow it, you paste the text of the posting.
- Job posting analysis: the skills, requirements and keywords of the posting, compared with your profile, with the points to highlight.
- Apply: once your resume is tailored, the application is added to your board (“I applied” or “To apply”), with a suggested follow-up, and the cover letter and interview preparation one click away.
- Application tracking: a board by stage, your notes, the documents you sent, the deadline to apply or to answer an offer, and follow-up reminders.
Plans: unlimited application tracking for everyone; number of job posting analyses depends on the plan.
Resumes and cover letters: how do you tailor your resume to each posting without making anything up?
Postulio rewrites your resume for the target posting from your profile, then checks that it stays true to what you have actually done.
- Five Quebec templates: Quebec classic, Quebec skills-based and Combined, based on the Québec.ca resume models; Finance and banking, designed for the screening software used by banks and credit unions; Executive. Postulio recommends a template based on the posting and your background; you see a preview before choosing.
- Check after writing: each resume is compared with your profile. An employer, job title, date, degree, figure or skill that is not in it is corrected or removed; your years of experience and language levels are calculated from your profile.
- Resume in the posting’s language: when the posting is in English and your profile in French (or the reverse), Postulio asks which language to write your resume in, and your cover letter follows the same choice. Your profile is translated faithfully: your employers, tools and figures stay as they are, and the English resume follows Canadian conventions.
- Matching cover letter: a first draft that connects your background to the analyzed posting, written in the language chosen for your resume and checked like it (no tool, figure or number of years missing from your profile), for you to review and personalize, then download as PDF or Word.
- Ready for screening software: single-column PDF and Word files, an ATS score on five dimensions calculated by fixed rules, and a check against Canadian and Quebec conventions (photo, age, social insurance number, length).
- Free ATS scanner, no account needed: before signing up, check your resume by pasting it or attaching a PDF or DOCX file, with the target posting if you like. You get the readability score, the posting keywords your resume includes or misses and the priority fixes; your resume is analyzed in memory, never stored.
The ATS score helps you improve how readable your resume is; it is not a guarantee of being shortlisted. Plans: all five templates for everyone; number of resumes and letters per month depends on the plan; from Pro, the file lists you as its author, with no mention of Postulio.
Career assessment and goals: how do you know which occupation to aim for?
The career assessment helps you take stock and see, concretely, what stands between you and the occupation you are aiming for.
- A six-step assessment: an inventory of your skills, a self-assessment, your values and working conditions, career paths, gaps to close, then goals and milestones. Everything is saved as you type and you can pick up where you left off.
- Paths based on official data: occupations from the National Occupational Classification (NOC 2021), Job Bank wages for your province and entry requirements quoted as published. Sources are listed on the Sources and licences page.
- My profile against this occupation: for a target occupation, Postulio reviews your certifications, education, skills, experience, languages and tools, then ranks improvements by impact, each with a link to the profile section to complete and, from Pro, concrete steps to get there (show it if you already have it, otherwise acquire it) and a plan personalized by AI.
- Recent occupations recognized: the occupation search tolerates typos and recognizes recent job titles, including occupations that emerged with artificial intelligence, each linked to a NOC occupation.
Plans: the career assessment is available to everyone, with a limited preview on the Free plan; on Free, the occupation analysis shows its summary and the first improvement; more paths and tracked occupations, every gap, every improvement with its steps to get there and a periodic review every three months from Pro.
Support: who guides you during your search?
Marceline, Postulio’s assistant, points you to the next step; with Premium, a person supports you every month.
- Marceline knows where you stand: when you are signed in, she knows your progress (profile, alerts, applications, assessment) and suggests the next useful step. She guides; she never acts on your behalf.
- Answers and jobs in the conversation: she answers questions about Postulio and job hunting in Canada, searches current postings and points you to blog guides. She is an AI assistant, not a person.
- One session a month with a person (Premium): your choice of a 45-minute video mentoring session, a resume review or a mock interview, requested from your account and valid during the current month, with no carry-over.
- Sharing with your advisor, with your consent (Premium): your “My profile against this occupation” analyses can be viewed by the team preparing your session, only if you agree; you can withdraw your consent at any time.
Plans: Marceline for everyone; a human session and the newcomer path included with Premium; two sessions a month on the Organization plan.
Privacy and security: what happens to your data?
Your information serves your job search and nothing else. You stay in control, as Quebec’s Law 25 provides.
- Contact details masked: your name, email, phone number and links are replaced with placeholders before anything is sent to our artificial intelligence provider, then put back into the document when it returns.
- No AI training: your resumes and documents are never used to train a model, neither by us nor by our provider.
- Your rights, self-serve: export all your data and delete your account from your settings; your work authorization status is optional and is only saved with your consent.
- A protected account: two-factor authentication, open sessions you can see and revoke, and a new sign-in before any sensitive action. Data is hosted in Canada, in Montreal.
Details are in the privacy policy. Plans: all.
Employers and organizations: what does Postulio offer?
Postulio also serves those who hire and those who support job seekers.
- Employer space: a company profile and postings published to the catalogue after review by our team; candidates whose alert matches are notified. Free during the launch (Employers page).
- Organization plan: for employment support organizations, schools and bootcamps, seats for the people you support, invitations and follow-up by advisors, by quote (Organizations page).
Toolbox: what can you write with Postulio?
The tools in Resources (Tools tab) prepare, from your profile, the texts and visuals around an application.
- Texts: LinkedIn headline and summary, posts, a short pitch, connection requests, follow-up and closing emails.
- Visuals: email signature, LinkedIn banner, digital business card, a review of your profile photo.
- Interview preparation: answers using the STAR method, salary negotiation and an interview simulator.
Each text is a proposal: you review it, adjust it and publish or send it yourself. Plans: basic tools for everyone; Pro tools and the interview simulator from Pro.
Public portfolio: how do you showcase your projects online?
The public portfolio is a web page in your name, at an address like postulio.ca/p/firstname-lastname, built from your profile.
- Three templates: classic, technical or creative, and up to 12 projects with a description, link and tags.
- Protected contact: a form forwards messages by email without ever showing your address.
- Publish when you are ready: you publish and unpublish at any time. If your plan no longer includes publishing, the page stays online for 14 days, then is taken offline; your content is kept.
Plans: private preview for everyone; public publishing from Pro.
Newcomer path: what does it include?
Seven steps to enter the Quebec and Canadian job market, in Home, under “My roadmap”, in the “Newcomers” tab: work situation, credential recognition, regulated profession or not, adapting a resume from abroad, workplace norms, networking, then a session with a coach. Each step offers an action in Postulio and checklists or templates to adapt.
Postulio does no procedure on your behalf, and this path is not immigration advice or a legal opinion. Plan: Premium.
What does Postulio not do?
- Postulio never applies on your behalf. You review, decide and send every application yourself.
- Postulio does not promise a job. Results depend on your profile, your efforts and the job market.
- Postulio does not add to your background. The check after writing removes from the resume anything it cannot find in your profile; still, review every document before sending it.
How much does it cost?
The Free plan lets you start without a credit card. Pro ($39 per month) and Premium ($89 per month) are in Canadian dollars, before taxes; Pro can be tried free for 7 days (card required, reminder before the first charge); Premium has no trial. The Organization plan is available by quote. Plan details are on the pricing page.
